  • Bill Brand promoted to president of HSN

    A longtime HSN executive has been promoted to president of HSN. Bill Brand has been at HSNi since 2006 as SVP programming and has been the company’s chief marketing officer — a post he’ll maintain alongside his new position — since 2013.
     

  • Smith’s Food & Drug to anchor Utah mixed-use development

    Salt Lake City - The Howard Hughes Corporation (HHC) and Smith’s Food & Drug are planning a 78,000-sq.-ft.food and drug store in Holladay, Utah. The 57-acre mixed-use Cottonwood development, located eight miles from downtown Salt Lake Cit, will feature upscale shopping, dining, entertainment and offices in a “Town Square” style setting as well as multi-family residences when complete.

  • Staff changes at NRF

    The National Retail Federation (NRF) has hired Paul G. Martino as VP and senior policy counsel, and has promoted Beth Provenzano to VP for federal government relations.

    Martino and Provenzano will work with the NRF government relations department and focus on emerging public policy priorities, including data security, payments, mobile and e-commerce, privacy and patent reform.

  • Authentic Brands and ImagineX Group ink deal to expand Juicy Couture in Asia

    New York -- ImagineX Group, Asia’s leading retail, brand management and distribution company, and Authentic Brands Group, LLC, the new owner of Juicy Couture, today announced a long-term franchise partnership to drive Juicy’s market expansion and category development in China. The partnership will provide the momentum to add more Juicy Couture stores throughout Asia; expand the brand’s reach with new product lines; and support further regional growth initiatives.

  • Ross Dress for Less opens new stores in Las Vegas, Florida

    Dublin, Calif. – Ross Dress for Less will open one new store in Las Vegas and two new stores in Florida on July 19. The new stores are part of the retailer’s 2014 expansion program, totaling approximately 75 new locations during the year.

    The Florida stores will be located in Pier Park North in Panama City Beach and Royal Gardens Plaza in Hialeah Garden. They will give Ross a total of 140 stores in Florida.
