  • Cybersecurity company IID taps former Tripwire exec as VP, sales

    IID, a cybersecurity company that provides the platform to easily exchange cyber threat intelligence between enterprises and governments, has expanded its executive team with the addition of Bob Dunne as VP of sales.

    Dunne will oversee IID's global sales team, which is focused on helping support the growing demand for its platform to exchange cyber threat intelligence, ActiveTrust.

  • Fred Segal to debut ‘lifestyle center’ in Tokyo

    New York -- Fred Segal will unveil its first “international lifestyle center” concept in spring 2015, in Tokyo. The format will feature a collection of stores in three buildings in a converted railway site at 13 Daikanyama-cho Shibuya-ku, Tokyo. It will be Fred Segal’s first location outside the United States.

  • Licensing mogul purchases Hastings Entertainment

    Amarillo, Texas – Parent, a company owned by New Jersey-based licensing and memorabilia mogul Joel Weinshanker, has purchased multimedia entertainment retailer Hastings Entertainment for $21.4 million. The publicly traded Hastings will go private and operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of Parent.

  • Profitero bolsters global leadership team

    Profitero, a leading global provider of online insights and e-commerce intelligence for retailers and brands, has appointed Keith Anderson as VP, strategy and insights, as part of its strategy to further expand into North America.

    In this newly created role, Anderson will lead the continuous innovation of Profitero's online solutions, helping retailers and brands gain a deeper understanding of their online presence to optimize their online and in-store sales.

  • Starbucks opens in Colombia

    Seattle – Starbucks opens its first store in Colombia on July 16. The three-story location in the capital city of Bogota is the first of 50 stores Starbucks plans to open in Colombia by 2019.

  • Schostak Brothers acquires 23-center portfolio

    Livonia, Michigan — Schostak Brothers & Company, Inc. announced the acquisition of 23 shopping centers from Coldwater Liquidating Trust. The purchase is part of a bankruptcy liquidation in which Schostak Brothers purchased the majority of the remaining Coldwater Liquidating Trust portfolio, totaling 405,000 sq. ft.

    The 23 shopping centers span 19 states, and is the third acquisition of Super Walmart shopping centers in less than a year.

  • Simon breaks ground on Chicago Premium Outlets expansion

    Aurora, Ill. — Simon has launched construction of its expansion of Chicago Premium Outlets, adding 50 new stores, including Saks Fifth Avenue Off 5th, and including a comprehensive renovation of the Chicagoland center.

  • Soma now open at Promenade Shops at Centerra

    Loveland, Colo. -- Soma opened a new store on July 12 at The Promenade Shops at Centerra, in Loveland, Colorado.

    Soma, a division of Chico’s FAS, currently operates 264 boutiques nationwide, as well as its online presence at soma.com.
