  • Deloitte, CMO Compliance partner to help improve food, product safety

    NEW YORK — Deloitte has teamed up with software solutions provider, CMO Compliance to provide solutions to consumer product, food service, retail and distribution companies.

    The partnership will provide clients with a full suite of tools for risk management, the companies said.

  • Valspar CFO retires

    MINNEAPOLIS — Lori Walker, SVP and CFO of Valspar, will retire from the company. The announcement was made by Gary Hendrickson, chairman of the board and CEO of Valspar.

  • Golfsmith names CEO

    Austin, Texas — Golfsmith International has named Sue E. Gove president and CEO.

    Gove, formerly president and COO of the combined Golfsmith and Golf Town business, has also served as the chief integration officer leading the successful Golfsmith-Golf Town combination, which was finalized this past July. Marty Hanaka, the previous CEO, will serve in an advisory role through the end of this year.

Gove, formerly president and COO of the combined Golfsmith and Golf Town business, has also served as the chief integration officer leading the successful Golfsmith-Golf Town combination which was finalized this past July.

  • Tiffany to open flagship in Paris

    NEW YORK — Tiffany & Co. announced plans to open a 10,000 sq. ft., multi-level flagshop store in Paris in 2014. The store will be located at 62, Avenue des Champs Elysées.

    New York -- Tiffany & Co. announced that it plans to open a flagship in Paris.

    The approximately 10,000-sq.-ft. multi-level store will be located at 62 Avenue des Champs Elysées and is expected to open in 2014.

  • GE donates more than $1M for Sandy relief

    FAIRFIELD, Conn. — In response to Hurricane Sandy, GE today gave $1.1 million to support relief and recovery efforts throughout the Northeast of the United States. One million dollars was given to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund. The additional $100,000 dollars was given to the United Way of America for them to direct to local communities where they determine the need is greatest.

  • Jones Group appoints COO

    New York -- The Jones Group Inc.  announced the promotion of Cynthia DiPietrantonio to COO, effective immediately.

    In this expanded role, DiPietrantonio will oversee production in The Jones Group's overseas facilities, including its production offices in China and Hong Kong, in addition to her current responsibilities overseeing the day-to-day operations of the company. DiPietrantonio, the senior-most operations executive, has been with The Jones Group in several capacities over the past 30 years.
