  • The Buckle shuffles leadership

    Kearney, Neb. - Michelle Hoffman has been appointed to the position of VP of sales and Kyle L. Hanson has been appointed to the position of VP, general counsel, and corporate secretary at The Buckle Inc., both effective immediately.

  • Jarden Corporation adds Barclays exec to board

    Jarden Corporation has appointed Ros L'Esperance to its board of directors, bringing the total number of members to 10, seven of whom are independent directors.

  • Making Stores Accessible

    It’s a fact: Safety awareness and accessibility compliance translates into ease of use for all customers. The Americans with Disability Act Accessibility Standards (ADAS) and ASTM (American Society of Testing and Materials) requirements not only make store spaces accessible, but should also help owners/operators avoid complaints and possible penalties.

    Here are some key points:

  • Wegmans plans Massachusetts expansion

    Gates, N.Y. - Wegmans Food Markets begins recruitment for full-time positions March 4 for its latest Massachusetts location, Burlington, which is scheduled to open in fall 2014. The company's third location in the state is a 135,000 sq.-ft. supermarket that includes a Market Cafe with indoor and outdoor seating. Going forward, Wegmans also plans to open more stores in Massachusetts, including a location in Westwood, in 2015.

  • Kimberly-Clark makes executive changes

    As Kimberly-Clark continues to focus on driving global expansion, the company has made executive changes so it can execute its business goals.

    Elane Stock, group president of Kimberly-Clark Professional (KCP), has been elected group president of K-C International (KCI), and is succeeding Christian Brickman, who is leaving to pursue a senior executive officer position outside of K-C. Kim Underhill, currently president of K-C's European consumer business, has been elected president of KCP.

  • Leadership team changes at Aaron's

    Lease-to-own retailer Aaron's has named Michael P. Ryan as VP of franchising. He replaces Todd Evans, who will be exiting the company. Henri Rogers, currently senior regional manager for Aaron's Three Rivers region, will succeed Ryan as divisional VP of Northern operations.

  • Sally Hansen appoints global ambassador

    Sally Hansen has appointed Madeline Poole as global color ambassador, trend expert and artistic adviser.

    Poole will create the nail looks for Sally Hansen's exclusive nail sponsorship with Stella McCartney Collections in 2014. Sally Hansen said that it tapped the up-and-coming nail artist for her expertise in nail color and trends, cool factor, social media following and reputation for creating nail looks with a creative edge.

    The Sally Hansen brand will integrate Poole’s designs into its brand advertising, promotion and digital campaigns.  

  • P&G unveils new campaign aimed at Latinas

    Procter & Gamble's Orgullosa program — a platform created in 2011 to celebrate, empower and fuel Latinas’ accomplishments and dreams — unveiled its Nueva Latina campaign. The campaign is a first-of-its-kind initiative designed to empower women to define what it means to be a bicultural, modern Latina.
