  • Starbucks names new execs for Teavana and Canada; Teavana CEO retires

    Seattle - Starbucks Coffee Company has named Starbucks Canada executive VP and president Annie Young-Scrivner as executive VP and president, Teavana. Nine-year retail operations executive and employee resources senior VP Rossann Williams has been appointed senior VP and president, Starbucks Canada.

    Teavana founder and CEO Andy Mack, having helped with the integration of Teavana with Starbucks, has decided to retire from the company.

  • Lowe's renews partnership with Habitat for Humanity

    Lowe's is renewing its partnership with Habitat for Humanity International. A new five-year, $23.5 million donation will bring Lowe's total contributions to more than $63 million since 2003 and is the company’s largest corporate donation to date.

    Along with the funding, Lowe's pledged the continued support of Lowe's Heroes employee volunteers. In the past decade, Lowe's employees have donated thousands of volunteer hours in support of Habitat's work.

  • Ethan Allen names new head furniture group

    Danbury, Conn. - Ethan Allen Interiors Inc. has appointed Daniel R. Bradley as its senior VP, Furniture Group. Bradley will lead the merchandising and manufacturing operations for the furniture group.

    Bradley’s career in the home furnishings industry includes his most recent role at Furniture Brands International Inc. where he served as president designer brands. Prior to assuming that role, Bradley served as the president and CEO of Ferguson Copeland Ltd. and previously was president of Baker, Knapp and Tubbs.

    Foot Locker has elected Steven Oakland, president of international, foodservice and natural foods at the J.M. Smucker Company, as a director of the company.

    Oakland has spent the bulk of his career at J.M. Smucker serving in increasingly senior positions. He has experience in domestic and international retail operations at the company, having also served as president of U.S. retail for Smucker's, Jif and Hungry Jack, and as GM of its Canadian operations.

  • Foot Locker elects Smucker exec to board

    New York – The board of directors of Foot Locker Inc. has elected Steven Oakland as a director of the company. Oakland is currently president -international, foodservice, and natural foods of The J.M. Smucker Company.

    Oakland has spent the bulk of his career at The J.M. Smucker Company, serving in increasingly senior positions. He has extensive experience in domestic and international retail operations at the company, having also served as president of U.S. Retail for Smucker's, Jif, and Hungry Jack.

    Whirlpool has elected Geraldine "Gerri" Elliott, EVP and chief customer officer at Juniper Networks, to its board of directors.
