  • Leadership changes at Mars

    Mars has announced a number of leadership changes, which include the departure of Todd Lachman, current president of the company's global pet care division.
     
    Lachman, who has been with the company eight years, will be leaving at the end of 2014 to relocate his family to San Francisco. Poul Weihrauch has been named as his successor, effective Jan. 1. Weihrauch is currently global president of Mars Food and also has accountability for Mars drinks and European multisales. He has been with Mars for 14 years, working in multiple categories.
     

  • Scope of Responsibilities

    Defining the scope of a CFO’s oversight is challenging because it’s still evolving. Besides the overarching responsibility of overseeing and reporting finances, the role now often includes strategic planning, technology and investor relations.

    New areas of reporting, including corporate social responsibility and environmental performance, are also being added.

  • Tory Burch to have co-CEOs

    Tory Burch, an upscale women’s apparel and accessories company, has appointed former Ralph Lauren executive Roger Farah co-CEO, sharing the title with founder and current CEO Tory Burch, who will remain chairperson.

  • Miller Lite celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month

    Miller Lite is celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month with Danny Trejo and Richard Rawlings by making a $10,000 contribution to the ¡Adelante! U.S. Education Leadership Fund. The two celebrities will go head to head during a friendly beer sales competition slated to take place before the start of the Sept. 28 Cowboys game at AT&T Stadium in Dallas.

  • Hormel Foods promotes three top execs

    Three executives at Hormel Foods will be advancing to new roles as of Oct. 28.

    Mark D. Vaupel, currently director of information technology services, will advance to VP of information technology services. Swen Neufeldt, currently director of business development in Asia, general manager of China and VP of Hormel Foods International, will advance to president of Asia Pacific, Hormel Foods International. And Jeffrey A. Grev, currently director of corporate development, will advance to director of legislative affairs.

  • Kroger named to USHCC Million Dollar Club

    Cincinnati – The Kroger Co. has been named to the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC) Million Dollar Club. Introduced by the USHCC in 2010, the Million Dollar Club recognizes corporations that are leaders in supplier diversity and integrating Hispanic business enterprises into their strategic sourcing and procurement process.  

  • Kroger selected for million-dollar club

    Kroger is a member of the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Million Dollar Club for the second consecutive year. The company was inducted in the $250 to $500 million annual expenditure category.

  • P&G vice chairman Werner Geissler announces plans to retire

    Procter & Gamble vice chairman Werner Geissler, who is also special adviser to the chairman and CEO, has announced plans to retire from the company Dec. 31, after more than 35 years of service.
