  • Macy’s to help clothe the needy

    Macy’s is committed to giving back this winter through its “Buy 1 & We’ll Give 1” effort. Through October 26, Macy’s will donate one coat, up to 50,000 coats, to Clothe4Souls for every coat purchased in the men’s, women’s, juniors’ and children’s departments in Macy’s stores and on macys.com.

    The joy of giving will also be a joy of saving, as Macy’s will offer 30-50% discount on a large selection of men’s, women’s and children’s coats during the campaign.

  • Hallmark to donate $1.5 Million to Toys for Tots

    Hallmar has partnered with Toys for Tots and pledged to donate $1.5 million in toys and funds to the organization this holiday season.

    For 50 years, watching the television classic Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer has been a holiday tradition for millions of families. This holiday season, Hallmark Gold Crown stores will be full of ways to celebrate the generous spirit of Rudolph and give back through a partnership with Toys for Tots.

  • Andreessen quits EBay board

    San Jose, Calif. –- Venture capitalist Marc Andreesen is resigning from the EBay Inc. board of directors. Following the board’s recent decision to separate eBay and PayPal into independent, publicly traded companies in the second half of 2015, Andreessen, who joined the board in 2008, said that now is the right time to step down.  
  • Whole Foods Market launches first-ever national advertising campaign

    Austin, Texas -- Whole Food Market on Monday launched its first national brand campaign, a multichannel advertising initiative. The effort is spearheaded by seasoned marketing veteran Jeannine D’Addario, Whole Foods’ new global VP of communications.

  • Fashionable father to lead dad’s day committee

    Matthew Youngs, president of Ralph Lauren Childrenswear and Latin America has been named chairman of the National Father’s Day Committee.

    In this new capacity, Youngs will collaborate with Dan Orwig, president and CEO of The Father’s Day/Mother’s Day Council, to oversee and execute the Annual Father of the Year Awards luncheon benefitting Save the Children’s U.S. Programs.

  • The Fresh Market opens at The Village at Livingston

    Livingston, N.J. -- The Fresh Market celebrated its official opening at The Village At Livingston with “cracking the parmesan,” a centuries-old art and company tradition. The store, which occupies 23,000 sq.ft  at the 93,000-sq.-ft. shopping center managed and developed by Eastman Companies, marks the upscale specialty grocer’s third location in New Jersey.  
  • WD-40 is lubricating the world

    Strong international growth offset a decline in domestic sales at WD-40 where the company produced its highest volume fourth quarter ever.

    Total net sales for the period ended August 31, increased 4% to $97.6 million while full year sales increased 4% to $383 million. WD-40 has a strong international presence and the impact of currency exchange rates favorably impacted results. On a constant currency basis total net sales were $93.9 million for the fourth quarter and $377.7 million for the full fiscal year.
