    Hhgregg is partnering with Maytag once again on an omnichannel giveaway that honors everyday American heroes.

    The retailer and appliance-maker will honor 10 deserving Americans who have had a profound impact on their community. Each hero will receive a free Maytag appliance and an Hhgregg gift card to thank them for their commitment. Additionally, hhgregg and Maytag brand are giving away appliances every day in May at hhgregg.com.

  • PetSmart hosts national adoption weekend

    Spring is in full swing, and PetSmart wants its customers to celebrate new beginnings by adopting a new pet.

    The retailer will be hosting a national adoption weekend between May 15 and May 17 at all PetSmart stores. More than 3,000 animal welfare organizations will be on-site at all 1,400 PetSmart stores in the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico to help customers find the perfect furry companion.

  • CVS Health to rebuild its two burnt-out Baltimore stores

    Baltimore -- CVS Health officially announced it will rebuild its CVS/pharmacy Baltimore stores that sustained heavy fire damage during protests last week. The stores that will be rebuilt are located at 2509 Pennsylvania Avenue and 2560 West Franklin Street.

  • Sam’s Club invests in future customers

    Sam’s Club is celebrating National Small Business Week in a very big way.

    The retailer is launching the Small Business Economic Mobility initiative (SBEM), a five-year investment in small business growth through increased access to capital and borrower education, with grants totaling $13.6 million to eight national nonprofits.

  • Sears helps rebuild military families' homes

    Sears is putting its decades of home improvement knowledge to work once again for military families.

    The retailer has launched its eighth annual Heroes at Home campaign with Rebuilding Together to raise funds and assist military families facing hardship by making necessary repairs, improvements or modifications to their homes. The program, which has raised more than $18 million over the past seven years thanks to donations from Shop Your Way members, customers and associates, has funded more than 1,500 home rebuilds.

  • Robert Redford’s Sundance Catalog to open two stores in 2015, five in 2016

    Salt Lake City -- Sundance Catalog is gearing up for retail expansion, with plans to open two locations in 2015: one in Edina Galleria in Edina, Minnesota, in September, and a second store in Dallas’ NorthPark Center in November. Up to five additional stores are planned for 2016.

  • Kohl's Cares about Nepal earthquake relief

    Kohl’s is showing its customers that it cares about the recent earthquake in Nepal by making a large donation through its Kohl's Cares program.

    The retailer is awarding a $50,000 cash grant toward earthquake relief efforts in Nepal. Kohl’s is providing this donation to the American Red Cross, which is delivering much-needed emergency supplies and services in the impacted areas.
