  • IBM Retail User Group changes name

    Strongsville, Ohio -- The International Retail User Group, formerly the IBM Retail User Group, said Tuesday that the organization’s name has been officially changed to the “International Retail User Group.”

  • Wegman and Smucker honored by GMA

    The Grocery Manufacturers Association named Danny Wegman and Timothy Smucker as the 2013 inductees into the trade group’s Hall of Achievement.

    Danny Wegman serves as CEO of Wegmans Food Markets and Tim Smucker serves as chairman of the J.M. Smucker Company. The pair will receive the Hall of Achievement honor when GMA gathers in Scottsdale, Arizona on January 19 for the annual Chairman’s Lecture held in conjunction with the Food Marketing Institute’s midwinter conference.

  • RILA to Obama: Without rules, employer-sponsored health care at risk

    Arlington, Va. – In a letter sent Thursday to President Barack Obama, RILA President Sandy Kennedy argued that the Administration’s failure in a timely manner to provide employers with formal guidance on the most basic of implementation rules for the Affordable Care Act (ACA) jeopardizes employer-sponsored healthcare coverage.

    “RILA is extremely concerned that when formal guidance is finally released, employers will not have ample time to plan, budget and implement changes in order to comply with the new law,” said Kennedy.
