Burlington Stores kicks off seasonal hiring effort for stores, DC — and more

Burlington Stores isn’t wasting any time in staffing up for the holiday season.

As part of the off-price retailer’s seasonal hiring initiative, which began Sept. 9, all stores and distribution centers will be conducting interviews leading up to nationwide hiring events on Sept. 24-25 and Oct. 29-30 and continuing through December. Burlington has 23,000 part-time seasonal roles available, including cashier associates, retail sales associates and retail stocking associates.

In addition, 1,500 full-time seasonal warehouse workers are needed for first, second and weekend shifts.

Alongside the stores and distribution center hiring efforts, Burlington's corporate offices are also hiring qualified candidates for a variety of positions. The offices are based in Burlington, N.J., with merchandising buying offices in New York City and Los Angeles.

To assist with the hiring process, candidates can use Burlington's mobile-friendly, virtual recruitment assistant. The tool streamlines the hiring process by guiding candidates through every step from screening to hiring in a timely manner.

Burlington, which is on track to open 100 stores this year, recently raised its full-year guidance on the heels of a strong second quarter. The company’s revenue rose 13% to $2.47 billion for the quarter ended Aug. 3. Comparable sales increased 5%.

The retailer operated 1,021 stores as of the end of the first quarter of fiscal 2024, in 46 states, Washington D.C. and Puerto Rico, principally under the name Burlington Stores. Fiscal 2023 net sales totaled $9.7 billion.
