A specialty beverage retailer is increasing the availability of its on-demand alcohol delivery service.

BevMo!, which operates nearly 170 stores across California, Arizona, and Washington, is expanding a partnership with online alcohol delivery platform Drizly. Initially launched in February 2019, BevMo!’s on-demand delivery offering is now available in 55 stores in California, including the Lake Tahoe and Sacramento areas.

The retailer is making its inventory at those stores available to users of the Drizly website and mobile app. Online inventory visibility includes full price transparency and access to loyalty discounts. Drizly also provides BevMo! with proprietary ID verification technology. BevMo! uses its own personnel and vehicles to fulfill delivery orders in under 60 minutes.

BevMo!'s range of soft drinks, juices, mixers and gifts is also available on the Drizly platform. The Drizly mobile app and website offer additional features such as cocktail recipes, pro tips and popular adult beverage trends.

"We're excited to extend our partnership with Drizly into the Sacramento area. This expansion, just in time for the holidays, brings value and convenience to our customers during this busy time of year," said Matt Champion, CMO of BevMo!.

On-demand delivery of beer, wine and spirits is a rapidly growing omnichannel trend. In recent months, retailers including Kroger, Aldi, Sam’s Club, Walmart, and BJ’s have all launched or expanded on-demand alcohol delivery offerings.
