Amazon is previewing Prime Big Deal Days discounts.

Prime Big Deal Days is almost here, and Amazon is previewing some of the bargains it will offer.

For the third consecutive year, Amazon is officially kicking off its holiday promotional season with a sales event called Prime Big Deal Days, taking place Tuesday, Oct. 8 – Wednesday, Oct. 9, beginning at 12:01 a.m. PDT.

Starting Oct. 8, Amazon will offer what the e-tailer says will be some of its lowest prices of the year so far on select products from brands like New Balance, Dyson, Disney, Lego, and Barbie; as well as deals on Amazon-exclusive products from brands like Beats, Conair and Casper.

Other special discounts will include apparel for the whole family starting at $5, toys for under $5, and savings on Halloween costumes and accessories from Rubies and Tipsy Elves. New deals will drop as often as every five minutes during select periods throughout the event. See a preview of more deals here.

The event will only be open to members of the paid Amazon Prime membership program (including customers who sign up for a free 30-day trial membership).

Amazon debuted its fall version of the annual Prime Day 48-hour sales extravaganza in October 2022 and the October 2023 edition of Prime Big Deal Days outperformed all Amazon sales promotions to that date except Prime Day 2023.

During Prime Big Deal Days, Prime members can save on thousands of deals on small businesses products from Amazon sellers, including up to 50% off select luxury skincare products and devices from Glo24K, 35% off select vitamin products from Hum Nutrition, 30% off select clothing from Tipsy Elves, 20% off select skincare products from Topicals and oral care products from Burst, and others at amazon.com/smallbusinessdeals.

Customers can also browse a selection of products from small businesses by filtering for small business gifts or shopping the small business store in Amazon's Holiday Shop. Amazon is offering a new interactive map on its site where customers can read stories about some of the small businesses selling on Amazon’s site.

"We're excited to help Prime members get started on their holiday shopping with savings on holiday essentials as well as a broad selection of gifts at some of our lowest prices during Prime Big Deal Days,” said Carmen Nestares Pleguezuelo, VP of North America marketing & Prime tech at Amazon. "With new deals dropping throughout the event from top brands to small businesses across more than 35 categories, our curated selection and helpful discovery features make it easy for Prime members to get a head start on holiday shopping."
