Amazon lets other retailers add Prime delivery to their websites

ACSC Prime Delivery

Amazon is expanding the reach of its fast, free Prime delivery service and letting retail shipping partners reinvest in their growth.

Beginning Sept. 24, U.S. merchants using Amazon's Multichannel Fulfillment — a third-party logistics service within Amazon Supply Chain Services — can offer Prime delivery directly from their own websites at no addition cost to them or their shoppers.  (ASCS is a third-party logistics platform the company launched in May.)

In addition, merchants that use the hosted Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) distribution service can obtain a discount on MCF fulfillment fees with FBA credits on each unit shipped.

“Retailers keep telling us the same thing: they want to use our logistics everywhere they sell because we’re fast, reliable, and help them manage their inventory in one place,” said Peter Larsen, VP of Amazon supply chain services. “Now we're giving retailers two ways to grow: fast, free Prime delivery on their own site at no added cost, and deeper fulfillment discounts the more they ship with us.”

Details on each program follow:

Prime delivery

New and existing MCF retailers can now have Prime delivery available without any additional costs beyond standard MCF fees. Participating retailers do not need to change their payment processing, order management, or store policies. With this new MCF shipping option, Prime membership is verified after checkout, so shoppers don’t need to log in to Amazon to place Prime delivery orders.

Retailers can enable Prime delivery through Amazon’s MCF or "Buy with Prime" integration with Shopify, with additional integration options through Amazon’s Selling Partner API, and partners including Fulfil, LingXing, and WebBee launching soon. Buy with Prime enables U.S.-based Prime members to directly shop online stores beyond Amazon using their Prime benefits.

According to Amazon, this shipping option is more than 70% faster compared to enabling standalone Buy with Prime and more than 40% of delivery orders at early retail adopters have been placed with it.

MCF Preferred Pricing Program

Available now, the MCF Preferred Pricing Program combines a discount on MCF fulfillment fees with FBA credits on each unit shipped, which Amazon says enables participating sellers to save 15 to 25% on fulfillment fees for the first six months.

The program requires no contracts or long-term commitments, offers one-click enrollment, and discounts apply automatically when retailers ship. For retailers focused on reducing operational costs, these savings can be reinvested into fulfilling more orders, expanding to new channels, or scaling their inventory. Merchants can sign up for the MCF Preferred Pricing Program through the Amazon Seller Central hub.

Multichannel selling tools

In another new offering for merchants on its site, Amazon is launching multichannel selling tools that allow them to connect their eBay, Shopify, TikTok, and Walmart accounts to the Seller Central hub, with more e-commerce channels coming. As a result, sellers can create and manage their listings, as well as orders and fulfillment, for all eligible channels in one place.
