Alibaba event connects U.S. brands to global buyers

Alibaba Group is continuing its efforts to expose U.S. businesses to the Chinese market and beyond.

The Chinese e-commerce giant, which enabled nine U.S. small businesses to participate in its annual “Singles Day” online sales event via a summer 2020 competition, is now hosting a two-week virtual trade show called Global Products Expo: Made in the USA.

The expo is designed to assist hundreds of U.S. brands, manufacturers, wholesalers and distributors connect with millions of global buyers. Made in the USA features U.S. companies of varying sizes, including Goya Foods, Brooklyn-based ACME Smoked Fish Corp., Fla.-based Mason Vitamins, California-based XJ Beauty, more than 200 others from over 10 different product categories. Featured categories include fashion & beauty, home & office, health & medical, food & agriculture, and sports & hobby.

Alibaba expects millions of buyers from the U.S. and around the world to attend through Feb. 21, 2021. Buyers are able to view virtual factory and facility tours, watch product demos, and have one-to-one interactions with participating U.S. sellers.
