1-800-Flowers.com unveils new corporate gifting platform

1-800-Flowers.com is making it easier for business customers to send gifts to their employees, clients, customers and partners.

The specialty gift retailer is launching a new business-to-business solution called Hero, based on technology from SmartGift. Hero, an intelligent enterprise engagement and gifting platform designed, developed, and operated by SmartGift, is now integrated into the 1-800-Flowers.com corporate gifting website.

Hero includes access to thousands of differentiated gifting options from across the company's assortment of brands, including Harry & David, PersonalizationMall.com, 1-800-Flowers.com, Cheryl’s Cookies, and Wolferman’s Bakery. The solution also provides features including same-day delivery and address-less shipping capabilities, customization offerings, and white-glove service.

Available to 1-800-Flowers.com business customers nationwide, the newly launched Hero platform offers a new “Gift Tray” feature that provides the ability to send meeting participants a gift to during or following an event, through one link. This link, which can be shared on the customer's channel of choice, including Slack, Microsoft Teams, Google Meets, Zoom, and others, enables sending gifts to multiple recipients without the need of a physical address.

In addition, by connecting directly to a third-party CRM or HR platform, or by uploading a file into the 1-800-Flowers corporate gifting portal, customers can identify specific gifting occasions and create rules to automatically manage gift sending. Once the rule (e.g. "send employee a gift on their work anniversary") is in place, 1-800-Flowers handles the rest.

Other new corporate gifting features include a “Campaigns” functionality that enables one-to-many gifting without the need of a physical address, as well as engagement metrics that allow business customers to see who has been sent a gift, who accepted, what they accepted, and more, all through one dashboard.
