Whole Foods Market is about to celebrate two new store openings.
On Jan. 30, the grocer will open a 47,000-sq.-ft. store in Richmond, Va. Built on the site of the former Pleasants Hardware, the supermarket has incorporated the original brick façade, wooden beams and other elements of the historic building into the interior design of the store.
The 47,000-sq.-ft. store will also feature a self-serve eatery and taproom on the mezzanine level, offering pub-style food, indoor and outdoor seating for over 150 customer. It will also offer self-serve wine and beer that customers are invited to drink while shopping in the store.
On Jan. 29, Whole Foods will open a 41,000-sq.-ft. store in Delray Beach, Fla.
