Walmart teams with ShipStation for third-party seller fulfillment
Walmart has a new order management option for sellers on its digital marketplace.
The discount giant is launching Ship with Walmart, a new shipping solution that gives Walmart Marketplace sellers direct access to Walmart-negotiated shipping rates within the ShipStation small business logistics platform. The integration enables sellers to purchase eligible labels, gain access to seller protections, and manage Walmart Marketplace orders directly within their existing ShipStation workflow.
Many Walmart Marketplace sellers already manage orders across multiple selling channels with ShipStation serving as the hub that brings those workflows together. Ship with Walmart provides a unified multichannel dashboard organizes orders from Walmart Marketplace, Amazon, TikTok Shop, Shopify, eBay and other connected storefronts in one place.
Participating sellers can activate Ship with Walmart through ShipStation and purchase eligible labels alongside their existing carrier accounts, with no new integration to build. Ship with Walmart works alongside a seller's existing shipping setup as an additional option.
Eligible orders shipped on time can receive up to $100 in protection for lost-item claims, including lost-in-transit and after-delivery claims. Sellers can also obtain access to negative feedback review for approved lost-item claims.
"Sellers shouldn't have to choose between the tools they rely on every day and the benefits their marketplace offers them," said Matt Norman, VP, strategic business development, ShipStation. "Ship with Walmart closes that gap. Sellers get Walmart-negotiated rates and seller protections, including up to $100 of order protection, all within the ShipStation platform."
Since 2020, Walmart has also offered sellers on its marketplace Walmart Fulfillment Services (WFS), a fee-based program providing logistical services including storing, picking, packing and shipping, along with the handling of returns and customer service. WFS also provides access to two-day and next-day delivery of customer orders and does not include a seller monthly membership fee.
