Torrid taps former Belk exec as chief commercial officer

It’s the second time around for the newest member of the C-suite at Torrid Holdings.

The apparel, intimates, and accessories brand for women sizes 10 to 30 has appointed Mark Mizicko to the role of chief commercial officer.

Mizicko served as chief planning officer at Belk, from 2017 to 2020.  Prior to Belk, from 2011 to 2016, Mizicko was chief planning officer at Hot Topic and Torrid, and served as chief operating officer at Torrid for the last nine months of his term. Before that, he was VP planning, marketing, e-commerce and logistics at Gymboree, from 2002 to 2011.

During the past three years Mizicko has operated as a consultant to retailers and software providers advising in the fields of discipline of merchandising, inventory management and marketing.

Torrid is led by Lisa Harper, who was named CEO in May 2022. Previously, from 2016 to 2011, she was CEO of Belk. From 2001 to 2006, Harper served as CEO of the Gymboree Corp.

At Torrid, Mizicko will be responsible for merchandising, merchandise planning and allocation, marketing, and e-commerce.

Based in City of Industry, Calif., Torrid operates 639 stores nationwide.
