When The Outlet Resource Group started re-opening outlet centers it operates in places like Oklahoma City and Park City, Utah more than a month ago, stores were slowly recapturing employees and restocking merchandise. Now things are ramping up to pre-pandemic levels.

“All of our centers are open and trading nicely with the majority of the stores open. Tenants are reporting brisk sales with many, if not most, beating last year’s numbers,” said COO Mithchell Brown.

This week TORG announced the completion of 13 new leases comprising more than 40,000 sq. ft. across five centers, where tenants have adapted to new guidelines.

“TORG put a detailed re-opening plan into place that addressed communications to consumers and tenants as well as cleaning and sanitation protocols compliant with CDC guidelines,” Brown said. “Both stores and customers have adapted well to the new social distancing norms and capacity limitations.”
