Walmart’s Jet adds two hot brands

By Deena M. Amato-McCoy - 11/01/2018
Walmart-owned Jet.com has beefed up its assortment and appeal to younger consumers.

Jet has opened dedicated shops on its website for Nike and Bonobos. (Walmart acquired men’s apparel retailer Bonobos in June 2017.) Jet is offering free shipping over $35 and free returns for both brands.

The Bonobos selection ranges from casual shirts and pants to sweaters and jackets. The Nike assortment includes clothing, shoes, accessories and equipment for men, women and kids.

Both brands coincide with Walmart’s efforts to broaden its online fashion assortments on both its own e-commerce site as well as on the Jet site.

“As we continue implementing our new strategy focused on the city consumer, we’re delighted to welcome Nike and Bonobos to Jet.com,” said Simon Belsham, president, Jet.com. “Having a direct relationship with them both means we can offer a fully branded experience and a unique assortment of the brands’ leading pieces, which is important as we head into the holiday season.”

In addition, Jet is also expanding its assortment in other areas. On Monday, it started selling meal kits by Blue April to shoppers in the New York City area.
