Store traffic analysis drives conversions for Joann

8/17/2018
One of the nation’s leading fabric and craft retailers wants to make sure associates are available to assist customers when they visit stores.

Joann will be adding the ShopperTrack in-store traffic analytics technology from Tyco Retail Solutions. The platform will provide insights for all of the company’s stores, move that will ensure the right number of associates are available at the right times to offer service and sales in each store.

The technology coincides with the company’s plan to revamp the store experience, which will focus on offering new features and services based on the latest crafting trends. The ShopperTrak solution will better identify traffic patterns, data that Joann can use to create more effective marketing and operational decisions, and better understand the related impact.

“Our goal in rolling out the ShopperTrak solution is to optimize labor and conversion rates in our stores,” said Chris DiTullio, senior VP of stores and store operations, Joann. “Implementing this technology will help ensure team members are available where and when customers need us, to create a supportive and efficient experience. Based on ShopperTrak’s success in other retailer roll-outs, we’re confident this will have a positive impact on our customers’ experience.”

Joann operates 870 stores across 49 states, as well as an e-commerce business.
