Specialty retailer preps for Olivia Palermo-inspired pop-ups during New York Fashion Week
Banana Republic will be giving shoppers a chance to buy its Olivia Palermo designs right after they appear on the runway.
Upholding its “see now, buy now” presentation model, the apparel retailer will enable customers to purchase pieces from its Spring 2017 collection at pop-up shops at select Banana Republic stores on Feb. 9. The collection is based on the street-style of fashionista Olivia Palermo.
The pop-up experience will be available at the chain’s SoHo (New York), The Grove (Los Angeles) and Grant Street (San Francisco) locations. Each store’s assortment and decor will be designed by Palermo, who was named the specialty retailer’s global style ambassador in September. She will also create an assortment of Banana Republic and third-party product to appear in the pop-up shops year-round, the retailer said.
Palermo already features a curated section of her favorite pieces on specialty chain’s website.
Further expanding its partnership, Palermo and the Banana Republic design team will reveal its Fall 2017 capsule collection at New York Fashion Week in September.
