Macy’s plans big roll out of mobile checkout
The nation’s largest department store retailer is going mobile.
Macy’s will introduce mobile checkout at a majority of its locations, reported the Cincinnati Business Courier. The retailer is testing the solution now at some stores.
Customers will use Macy's smartphone app to scan merchandise they intend to buy while shopping in a Macy's store. Those shoppers will then be able to use an express checkout lane where an employee will verify their purchases and remove security tags, the report said.
