The social media platform has added a payments feature to its app for some users, reported TechCrunch, that lets them register a debit or credit card as part of a profile, set up a security pin, and then make purchases without ever leaving Instagram.
In 2016, Instagram added “Shoppable Tags,” that let users see which products were in a post and then tap through to buy them on the specific brand’s website, the report noted.
