Checkpoint opens connected store lab

1/4/2019
Retailers interested in learning more about connected store solutions have a new resource.

Checkpoint Systems Inc., a provider of RF- and RFID-enabled retail solutions, is opening a new Customer Experience Center at its Thorofare, New Jersey North American headquarters. The center is a multistore format retail technology laboratory featuring more than 40 connected store technologies. It enables Checkpoint engineers and retailers to interact with, test and trial connected store solutions in an environment representative of a retailer’s specific store environment.

This connected store environment is integrated with Checkpoint’s Microsoft Azure-based HALO Internet of Things (IOT) software platform. Solutions on the platform include RF/RFID labels, tags and trims that interact with devices that help control inventory and deliver in-store customer experience. Checkpoint produces its own intelligent RF/RFID tags, labels, personalized RF/RFID pedestals and scanning hardware.

“Checkpoint Systems is transforming retail with an array of ingenious connected store solutions that improve product availability, thus improving financial performance and enhancing the consumer experience,” said Checkpoint president John Dargan.
