Ohio’s Crocker Park adds seven new retail tenants

One of the nation’s first “suburban downtowns” continues to grow.

Nearly a quarter-century ago, Cleveland-based real estate executive Bob Stark was on business in New York City. Walking down Fifth Avenue one day, he stopped and gazed at all the street-level, high-end shops at the bases of luxury apartment buildings and had an idea: Why couldn’t he replicate that model in a growing, high-income suburb outside of Cleveland.

Thus was born Crocker Park in Westlake, Ohio, a haute-retail-based, honest-to-goodness downtown with a downtown street plan lined with upmarket retail and food and beverage brands topped by apartments and surrounded by recreational areas, green spaces, parks, and even single-family homes.

Crocker Park laid down the game plan for hundreds of such developments going up across America in the 21st Century, and Stark Enterprises continues to update its retail lineup.

  • Color Me Mine: An upscale, art-as-entertainment studio where visitors of all ages can paint their own pottery.
  • Garage: A fashion-forward clothing brand offering trendy apparel and accessories for young women. Since 1975, Garage has been driven by the mission “to create accessible fashion that inspires style-conscious individuals to feel good in their skin.”
  • Océanne: A locally inspired jewelry and lifestyle boutique specializing in handmade jewelry, original designs, and carefully curated indie pieces from emerging brands.
  • State & Liberty: Specializing in athletic-fit, performance-fabric menswear, State & Liberty designs apparel for the modern professional, using durable fabrics that combine style and functionality.
  • Ten Seconds Yunnan Rice Noodle: Bringing authentic and speedy Asian cuisine to Crocker Park’s culinary scene, Ten Seconds Yunnan Rice Noodle offers a flavorful dining experience inspired by traditional Yunnan flavors.
  • Tradehome Shoes: A quality footwear shop that prides itself on exceptional customer service.
  • Vera Bradley: Reputed for its thoughtfully designed travel essentials, signature quilted bags, and vibrant patterns — all created to inspire women to celebrate their unique styles in the ways that matter most to them.

Moving to larger spaces at the center are Arhaus and Lucky Shoes.

“Many of these brands are new to the market, and we’ve been working closely with them to bring innovative retail and creative culinary experiences to our community,” said Lidia Richani, Crocker Park’s executive VP of leasing. “These additions reinforce our commitment to delivering unique and dynamic destinations for visitors and shoppers alike.”
