  • Action Services Group names marketing lead

    Aston, Pa. -- Lighting, signage and electrical maintenance firm Action Services Group said Tuesday it has named Dale Clouser as director of marketing for the company. 

    In the newly created role, Clouser will be responsible for the company’s in-bound and out-bound marketing and communication efforts. He co-founded and ran his own B2B integrated marketing and communications firm prior to joining Action Services Group.

     

  • Retail Store of the Year: And the winners are…

    New York -- Simons, Canada’s eclectic and fashion-forward department store retailer, received top honors in Chain Store Age’s 31st annual Retail Store of the Year design competition. The company’s 118,000-sq.-ft. store in West Edmonton Mall, Edmonton, Canada, was named Store of the Year. Designed by figure3, Toronto, Simons also was the winning entry in the department store category.

  • Enormous LED screen helps Las Vegas retail center pop

    Salt Lake City -- The world’s highest-resolution LED screen is on display in Las Vegas. The enormous screen, approximately 310 ft. wide by 60 ft. tall and populated with close to 11 million pixels, is the feature attraction of the Harmon Corner Retail Center, on the northeast corner of the Las Vegas Boulevard. The three-level center is anchored by Walgreens.

  • Schimenti adds new employees

    Ridgefield, Conn. -- Schimenti Construction has added new employees to their staff.

    “Our recent growth, and our planning for the future, has resulted in the need to expand our team of construction professionals,” stated Matthew Schimenti, company president.
     
    The company has hired Edward Sheeran, project manager; Ryan Lumpuy, superintendent; and Kevin Hanley, estimating coordinator.

  • Ikea goes live with South Florida’s largest solar energy system

    Sunrise, Fla. -- Ikea on Wednesday officially plugged-in the solar energy system installed at its store in City of Sunrise, Fla. It is the largest solar installation in South Florida and, when combined with Ikea projects already completed atop stores in Orlando and Tampa, will make Ikea the state’s largest non-utility solar owner.
