  • Tupelo Honey Cafe to join Town Center of Virginia Beach

    Virginia Beach, Virginia — Tupelo Honey Cafe has leased 7,000 sq. ft. at Town Center of Virginia Beach, offering traditional Southern restaurant fare. This second Tupelo Honey Cafe in Virginia will be located at the corner of Constitution Drive and Main Street on the first floor of the newly constructed 4525 Main Street Tower, according to Divaris Real Estate, which leases and manages the center.

  • Ace Hardware to join Spring Creek Village

    Dallas — Venture Commercial, an X Team International partner, has completed a lease to bring a 16,000-sq.-ft. Ace Hardware store to Spring Creek Village, located at 7989 Belt Line Road on the northwest corner of Belt Line and Coit Road in north Dallas. 

    Ace Hardware joins other Spring Creek tenants Just Fitness, Polly DuPont, Citi Bank, and Black-Eyed-Pea.

  • CBRE names senior VP over Capital Markets

    Phoenix — CBRE Group, Inc. announced that Geoffrey Harris has joined the firm’s Capital Markets’ Debt and Structured Finance team as senior VP.

    Based in Phoenix, Harris will play a key role in originating net-leased transactions for the firm nationally, in the multi and single-tenant, office, retail and industrial properties space.

    Harris joins CBRE from Meridian Capital where he was managing director. He previously served as VP of Capital Markets at Marcus & Millichap.

  • Whole Foods launches construction in Shererville, Indiana

    Chicago — Regency Centers announced the groundbreaking of a new 40,000-sq.-ft. Whole Foods Market, located 25 miles from downtown Chicago in Schererville, Indiana.

    The new store, situated in The Shops on Main shopping center, is projected to open in fall 2015. Current tenants include Homegoods, Gordmans, Ross Dress for Less, and DSW Designer Shoe Warehouse.

  • Nordstrom Rack to open in Staten Island

    New York — Nordstrom has announced plans to open a Nordstrom Rack at the Empire Outlets in Staten Island. The 34,000-sq.-ft. store is scheduled to open in fall 2016. The property is being developed by BFC Partners.

  • Duxiana to open in Flatiron District

    New York — RKF has arranged a 1,900-sq.-ft. lease with high-end bedding retailer Duxiana at 9 West 20th Street in the Flatiron District. Located on the north block between Fifth and Sixth Avenues, this will become Sweden-based Duxiana’s third Manhattan location, and marks the brand’s return to the Flatiron District after a previous relocation.
