Target to host soccer event tour in four cities during World Cup
A leading discount retailer is taking a soccer-inspired event series on the road ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Target’s Summer Goals Tour will hit one store location in four cities across the country during the tournament, where visitors can find interactive challenges, complimentary snacks, drinks and exclusive finds. The retailer says the experience will offer families a fun, playful way to be part of the global soccer event while showcasing “one-of-a-kind” experiences, products and brands.
Upon arrival at the store’s parking lot, Target customers will receive a free Goal Getter giveaway bag to kick things off, followed by a walk through the Players Tunnel with the sound of a cheering crowd all around before arriving at the Center Circle, a social hub to gather, meet up and snap photos.
At the Play Pitch, where guests can take part in the fast-paced Target Practice challenge. Each round is 60 seconds, with goals tracked in real time and names lighting up the scoreboard. Playmaker Booths will offer games, samples and surprises from favorite brands like Chobani, Dove, Liquid I.V. and LEGO.
Target’s Summer Goals Tour will make stops at the following locations as the World Cup progresses:

- Houston (June 28) Store #1336
- Atlanta (July 11) Store #1486
- Clifton, N.J. (July 18) Store #1822
The 2026 FIFA World Cup will feature 104 matches between 48 national teams from June 11 to July 19, 2026 in Canada, Mexico and the United States. The final match will be held on Sunday, July 19 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J.
