Tanger opens first outlet mall since 2019 in major Southern city

Tanger Outlets is opening its latest open-air shopping center in one of America’s fastest-growing cities.

The 290,000-sq.-ft. Tanger Outlets Nashville mall, located in southeast Nashville at 4060 Cane Ridge Pkwy, opens on Oct. 27.  It is the first outlet center and one of the few major shopping centers in the United States to break ground and deliver to the market since 2019.

Tanger Outlets Nashville will feature 60 retail stores across seven buildings, as well as offer a central outdoor community space for programming and activities, known as The Green. The new shopping center, which is Tanger’s first to open since 2019, features a 96.5% lease rate, and includes tenants such as Adidas, Coach, J. Crew Factory, Levi’s Outlet, Nike Factory Store, Ulta Beauty and many more. The full list of retailers can be found here.

Tanger said that nearly one quarter of the retailers at Tanger Nashville are brands that are either new to Tanger's portfolio or first to the outlet channel, including several digitally native brands as well as local Nashville eateries.

Tanger Nashville's Grand Opening celebration starts at 9:00 a.m. CT on Friday, Oct. 27, with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 10:00 a.m. CT, when the stores will open for business. The ceremony will feature Nashville-based, New York Times best-selling authors and co-founders of The Home Edit, Clea Shearer and Joanna Teplin, of the Emmy-nominated Netflix show "Get Organized with the Home Edit," as well as Tanger executives and state and local officials.

Additional celebratory activities, entertainment, and special offers and sales will be available to onsite guests throughout the center's Grand Opening weekend.

Tanger's centers, which comprise over 14 million square feet, are located in 20 states and in Canada and are leased to over 2,900 stores operated by more than 700 different brand name companies.
