Study: T-Mobile has most available, fastest 5G network at these 20 busy airports…

T-Mobile has the most available 5G network in 20 of the country's busiest airports, according to a new study.

Network speed and availability is key — especially amid the busiest travel time of the year. 

As millions flock to airports for holiday travel, a  new report from research firm Opensignal finds that T-Mobile has the most available 5G network and fastest average download speeds in 20 of the busiest airports across the country. It also is most frequently ranked first for consistent service quality in those airports.

The 20 airports included in Opensignal’s report are:

  • Baltimore-Washington Thurgood Marshall
  • Boston Logan
  • Charlotte-Douglas
  • Chicago O’Hare
  • Dallas-Fort Worth
  • Denver
  • Houston George Bush Intercontinental
  • Las Vegas Harry Reid
  • Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta
  • New York, JFK
  • Los Angeles
  • Miami
  • Nashville
  • Newark Liberty
  • Orlando
  • Phoenix Sky Harbor
  • Ronald Reagan Washington National
  • San Diego
  • San Francisco
  • Seattle-Tacoma

“There is nothing more important than staying connected while traveling,” said Ulf Ewaldsson, president of technology at T-Mobile. “Whether you need to shop for any lingering deals, download a last-minute movie or, more importantly, let your loved ones know where you are, your phone should simply work. And T-Mobile is making that happen.”

T-Mobile’s 5G network covers more than 330 million people across two million square miles.

NRF 2024 

In other T-Mobile news, Roopi Crowley, managing director of retail strategic accounts at T-Mobile, will be among the speakers at NRF 2024: Retail's Big Show, which will be held at the Jacob J. Javits Convention Center, New York City, Jan. 14-16.
