Old Navy is extending its commitment to the plus-size market.
Old Navy is bringing its Plus apparel collection for women into the physical space. The line, which dates back some 14 years, was previously available only online.
The retailer said it will offer the specialty line in 75 stores. The dedicated Plus shop will feature Plus-specific mannequins, marketing photography and signage. The brand will also offer free shipping for the Plus collection when ordered from any store.
Plus-size fashion has been gaining momentum.
In May, Nordstrom said it was expanding its extended sizing initiative to 30 stores with 100 brands producing extended sizes across multiple categories. And Target recently announced it was boosting its plus-size women’s offerings from its current 150 stores to about 300 stores by year-end.
Old Navy currently carries extended sizes in stores, with mainline offerings going up to size 20 for women.
