Stop & Shop, P&G launch ‘homegating’ page in time for Super Bowl

A Northeast grocer and a CPG giant are virtually reaching out to consumers looking for products and ideas for their at-home Super Bowl celebrations.

Stop & Shop Supermarket Company LLC, a division of Ahold Delhaize USA, is teaming up with Procter & Gamble (P&G) and a number of celebrities to support football fans planning COVID-19-safe “homegating” events during the Super Bowl (Sunday, Feb. 6). The companies are providing a dedicated page on the Stop & Stop e-commerce site, which includes exclusive recipes, shopping lists and videos.

The page also features four original recipes, complete with exclusive instructional videos, from celebrity chef and restaurateur Tiffany Faison. Retired New England Patriots Hall of Famer and three-time Super Bowl winner Troy Brown has also created a unique Spotify “Pump-Up” playlist available on the homegating page for customers to download. In addition, the page features direct links to purchase select P&G products, such as razors, deodorant, and antibacterial dishwashing liquid.

Home delivery customers can obtain free delivery or pickup (up to $6.95 in fees) if they spend $30 or more on participating P&G products. Customers can also donate $5.50 at checkout toward a local fund supporting restaurant industry employees and owners who have been impacted by COVID-19.

“Given the impact the pandemic has had on our community, we worked with P&G to create a homegating experience for customers to have fun while tuning into the Big Game in the comfort and safety of their own homes,” said Gordon Reid, president of Stop & Shop. “We also recognize the impact of the pandemic on the restaurant industry and have partnered with the Restaurant Strong Fund to offer support during these difficult times.”

The Stop & Shop Supermarket Company LLC operates over 400 stores throughout Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New York, and New Jersey.
