Staples partners to open in-store eyewear shops in four locations
Staples has expanded its in-store services to include eye care in select locations.
In a pilot, the company has partnered with Now Optics, parent company of Stanton Optical, to open four “store-in-store” Stanton Optical shops inside four Staples stores in the Philadelphia area. (The locations are listed at end of article.)
The in-store shops offers full-service eye care, including same-day eye exams provided by independent eye doctors, and prescription eyewear supported by on-site optical labs capable of producing single-vision glasses in as little as 30 minutes. In addition, Stanton Optical offers an exclusive vision savings plan, Stanton Access, to local small business owners to provide affordable vision benefits to their employees.
Each in-store shop features a curated selection of best-selling frames and popular contact lens brands, with the flexibility to expand services based on customer demand, including advanced eye treatment and diagnostic technologies such as Optical Coherence Tomography imaging.
The initiative adds to Staples’ portfolio of services, which includes wireless and technology solutions, printing, shipping and more.

Founded in 2006, Now Optics is the largest founder-owned and operated optical retailer in the U.S. Through its flagship retail brand, Stanton Optical, the company has more than 300 locations across 32 states.
