‘Social darts' concept Flight Club expanding across the U.S.
A format that offers dining and dart playing is expanding its footprint across the United States.
State of Play Hospitality, a global operator of several tech-enabled “social entertainment” concepts, has signed a lease to open Flight Club in Minneapolis’ North Loop neighborhood. The company currently operates 10 Flight Clubs in the U.S., with locations in Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Cincinnati, Washington D.C., Denver, Houston, Las Vegas, Philadelphia and St. Louis.
Flight Club plans to open in New York City in spring 2026. Other upcoming locations include Dallas, Seattle and a second Minneapolis outpost.
Flight Club launched in London’s Shoreditch neighborhood in 2015, with its design and experience drawing inspiration from British pub culture and fairground traditions.
The Minneapolis location will feature the company’s signature blend of hospitality, inventive cocktails, and proprietary Social Darts technology. The 7,000-sq.-ft. venue will include a patio and offer both indoor and outdoor experiences.
The space will be individually designed, consistent with the brand’s approach to creating distinct environments that reflect the character of each city while maintaining Flight Club’s sophisticated and energetic identity, the company said.
Flight Club's expansion comes as research on consumer spending shows Americans increasingly prioritizing memorable, shared experiences over material goods. A recent Gallup polling shows that the share of U.S. adults who drink alcohol has fallen to a 90-year low of 54%.
“With Flight Club’s combination of interactive gameplay, immersive experiences, elevated food, and premium mocktail offerings, State of Play is already benefiting from these trends,” the company said.
State of Play Hospitality partnered with tenant brokers Stefanie Meyer and Johnny Reimann of Mid-America and landlord brokers Tricia Pitchford and Jesseka Doherty of Mid-America on the Minneapolis transaction. Flight Club Minneapolis is projected to open in late 2026.
