Smoothie King names three C-suite officers

Marianne Radley is the new chief marketing officer of Smoothie King.

Smoothie King has added to its executive leadership team, with two new hires — including a former Yum! Brands executive — and one promotion.

The quick-serve brand named a chief marketing officer, a chief information officer and a chief people officer. The appointments come as Smoothie King, which opened more than 100 stores globally last year, continues its aggressive store growth.

Smoothie King’s new C-suite officers are listed below.

Marianne Radley has been named chief marketing officer. Prior to joining Smoothie King, she served as the chief brand officer for Yum! Brands, overseeing Pizza Hut.  Radley also served as the chief marketing officer for Monster Beverage Company and Anheuser-Busch InBev.

Juan Salas
Juan Salas

Juan Salas has been appointed chief information officer. He has more than 20 years of experience implementing next-generation technology for corporations in foodservice and hospitality. Most recently, Salas served as chief technology officer for Gordon Ramsay North America. His experience also includes leadership roles at Del Frisco's Restaurant Group, Popeye's, Church's Chicken Brands and more. 

In his new role with Smoothie King, Salas will support advancing the digital customer experience and store technology to help optimize operations.

• Laura Scavone has been named chief people officer. Previously serving as VP of human resources for Smoothie King, Scavone has been the driving force behind influencing the brand's people strategy to help Smoothie King achieve its business goals, the company said. As chief people officer, she will be instrumental in optimizing people-centered activities including hiring, training, professional development, and performance management to ensure these efforts support the company's growth and bottom line.

"We're excited to have Marianne, Juan and Laura join our growing leadership team,” said Smoothie King CEO Wan Kim. “They are exemplary leaders in their respective segments, each possessing a wealth of experience in the QSR industry and will undoubtedly make invaluable contributions to Smoothie King. Smoothie King Franchises is a privately held, Dallas-based franchise company with more than 1,400 locations worldwide, including in the United States, Korea, Grand Cayman, and Trinidad.
