Smoothie King names new president
Smoothie King has promoted its finance chief to an expanded role.
The fast-growing smoothie chain has appointed Gavin Felder as its new president. The expansion of Felder's responsibilities reflects the Smoothie King’s “continued growth and momentum,” according to the company, as well as his role in helping shape its long-term strategy. In addition to taking on the president role, he will maintain his current responsibilities as CFO.
Felder joined Smoothie King in May 2024. He previously spent 16 years at global restaurant giant Yum! Brands, most recently serving as chief strategy officer where he led corporate strategy, investor relations, mergers & acquisitions, and Yum’s store innovation efforts. His previous roles at Yum! include commercial director for KFC U.K., CFO of KFC Africa, and CFO of the global KFC division.

As president and CFO, Felder will take on a larger role in the day-to-day management of the business while continuing to lead the company's financial strategy.
The promotion comes as Smoothie King continues to grow its footprint, opening 13 new stores and adding 20 new store commitments to its development pipeline in the first quarter of 2025.
