Smashburger has added a food and beverage industry veteran to its C-suite.

The fast-casual burger chain has appointed Jim Sullivan to the position of chief development officer. In his new role, Sullivan is responsible for overseeing all facets of restaurant development, including market planning, site selection and franchise sales, with an additional focus on "elevating Smashburger's brand identity."

Officially assuming the role in June 2024, Sullivan brings over 25 years of food and beverage expertise to Smashburger.
