Saks Global taps two Bloomingdale’s exes for store leadership roles
Saks Global has named two industry veterans to elevate its in-store experiences and drive growth.
The multi-brand luxury retailer named Matt Dunphy as senior VP, store growth and experiences, Saks Fifth Avenue & Neiman Marcus, which is a new role for the company. Christina DeGrezia was named VP, general manager, Saks Fifth Avenue New York flagship.
The appointments come on the heels of a top management shakeup that included the departure Emily Essner, president and chief commercial officer of Saks Global.
Matt Dunphy
Prior to joining Saks Global, Dunphy spent 16 years at Bloomingdale’s in various leadership roles, including most recently, VP, regional director of stores for the Northeast and Midwest Regions.
In his new position, Dunphy will be responsible for shaping and executing the Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus stores growth strategy, maximizing the potential of the store fleet and helping to redefine the in-store customer experience, the company said. He will also be “championing innovation across the store experience.”
Christina DeGrezia
DeGrezia joins Saks Global from Bloomingdale’s where she served as senior director, general manager of the company’s 59th Street flagship in Manhattan. She previously spent nearly a decade in store leadership roles at Saks Fifth Avenue, including as general manager of the New York flagship.
In here new role, DeGrezia will oversee all facets of Saks’s flagship’s business, driving operational excellence and delivering an exceptional customer experience that embodies the brand’s highest standards.
Both Dunphy and DeGrezia will report to Mary McGreevy, chief stores officer, Saks Fifth Avenue & Neiman Marcus.
