Ross Stores is on track to open 100 stores in 2022.
Ross Stores continue to grow the footprint of its two banners.
The off-price retailer opened 21 Ross Dress for Less and eight dd's Discounts stores across 12 different states in June and July. The openings included locations in the company’s largest markets of California, Florida, and Texas, along with newer states, including North Carolina for dd's and Ohio for Ross.
Despite a tough first quarter, Ross is holding firm to its plans to open 100 new locations – 75 Ross and 25 dd's Discounts stores – during fiscal 2022 as part of its larger long-term growth target.
"These recent openings reflect our ongoing commitment to expanding our two chains," said Gregg McGillis, group executive VP, property development. “Looking ahead, we remain confident in our ability to grow to at least 2,900 Ross Dress for Less and 700 dd's Discounts locations over time."
Headquartered in Dublin, Calif., Ross reported fiscal 2021 revenues of $18.9 billion. Currently, the company 1,669 Ross stores in 40 states, the District of Columbia, and Guam. It also operates 311 dd's Discounts in 21 states.
