Roots names new chief commercial officer

A longstanding Canadian apparel brand is promoting a new face to its C-suite.

Roots Corporation has appointed Rosie Pouzar, who joined the company almost a year ago to serve as head of omnichannel growth, to the role of chief commercial officer. Roots says she brings a “proven ability to align teams around clear strategies that deliver results” to the brand’s leadership team.

Prior to joining the company last April, Pouzar held senior leadership roles at Sephora Canada, including senior VP of retail and chief operating officer, spending more than eight years in total with the company. In these roles, Pouzar helped scale the business during a period of significant growth.

As chief commercial officer, Rosie will help sharpen our enterprise priorities and accelerate decision-making to unlock new areas of growth.”

Before joining Sephora Canada, Pouzar spent nearly four years in multiple finance-related roles at Canadian movie theatre chain Cineplex Inc. She began her career at consulting firm PwC.

Founded in 1973, Roots operates over 100 corporate retail stores in Canada, two stores in the United States and an e-commerce platform (Roots.com). Roots also has more than 100 partner-operated stores in Asia and operates a dedicated Roots-branded storefront on Tmall.com in China.
