Rhone opens New York flagship, expanding to Boston

Rhone is expanding its brick-and-mortar footprint.

The men’s activewear brand has opened a flagship in New York City, to be followed by its first store in Boston later this spring.

The 1,500-sq.-ft. flagship, located in the city’s Flatiron District, has a monthly run club to foster a sense of community beyond its doors. Rhone’s partnership with Tonal, an at-home, high-tech workout device, is highlighted in the store, with customers able to try out the product.

Designed in collaboration with Retail Design Collaborative’s Virginia Maggiore, the flagship has a modern aesthetic that is meant to evoke movement. It features a mix of cool metals and blonde woods, with furniture from Herman Miller and Design Within Reach.

Rhone’s Boston store will be located on historic Newbury Street. Reflecting the locale, the store will offer an intimate shopping environment with exposed brick and wood walls.

Both locations will offer a full assortment of Rhone’s products, including its premium activewear and technical gear. Limited-edition t-shirts will be available at each store to celebrate the new spaces.

“Our focus has always been on how Rhone can add value and create a sense of community for our customers,” said Nate Checketts, CEO and co-Founder of Rhone. “With these two retail locations, we’re deepening our commitment to meeting customers where they are, establishing meaningful, in-person connections, and providing top-notch experiences.”

Founded in 2014, Rhone has four stores, including three in New York City and one in Connecticut. The brand is also sold in all Equinox locations, at Nordstrom, Dillard’s, Peloton Studios and more than 350 gyms and specialty stores across the country.
