RH continues to combine hospitality and retail with the debut of its newest location.
The luxe home furnishings retailer opened a three-level, 60,000-sq.-ft. store (or “gallery” in RH speak) at Southdale Center in Edina, a suburb of Minneapolis. The space includes a glass-encased full-service rooftop restaurant, and a wine & barista bar that open onto a landscaped park.
Set on two acres, the new RH is filled with fresh air and natural light. It features a charcoal grey Venetian plaster exterior with an expanse of glass-and-steel French doors that open onto garden courtyards and terraces. The interior includes spaces dedicated to RH’s interiors, modern and outdoor collections. It also has a design “atelier” offering professional design services.
“RH Minneapolis is a reflection of our very best work to date and represents a prototype for the future,” said Gary Friedman, chairman and CEO, RH. “It’s a space that blurs the lines between residential and retail, indoors and outdoors, home and hospitality – an experience that activates all of the senses and can’t be replicated online.”
RH is set to open two additional locations this year, in Columbus, Ohio, and Corte Madera, Calif.
