Walmart is ending cigarette sales in some U.S. stores.

Walmart will no longer sell tobacco products, but only in select markets.

The move, which comes after years of internal discussion, will affect some Walmart stores in California, Florida, Arkansas and New Mexico, reported the Wall Street Journal. In some of the affected locations, the chain has deployed a design that includes more self-checkouts as well as grab-and-go food, candy and other items, according to the report.

A Walmart spokeswoman declined to tell the Journal how many stores will continue to sell cigarettes, but she said the chain isn’t halting all tobacco sales.
