Walmart shoppers will reportedly have to wait a little longer to join the discounter’s planned subscription service.
According to Recode, Walmart is holding off on rollout of its new subscription service called Walmart+. Previous media reports indicated Walmart would introduce the program, which for $98 per year will offer same-day delivery of groceries and other items, fuel savings and early access to discounts, by the end of July.
Reportedly it is not known whether Walmart has officially set a launch date and whether Walmart+ will be introduced nationally or regionally. Initial reports indicated Walmart would roll out the subscription program in March or April. Walmart declined comment.
