Claire’s reportedly is the latest retailer to fall victim to a fraud attack.
E-commerce platform hackers, using Magecart tactics, have stolen an unknown amount of customer payment card data from the jewelry and accessories retailer’s U.K. online platform, reported bankinfosecurity. The attack began on April 25 and was ongoing until June 13, the report said.
The attack was spotted and reported to Claire's by Netherlands-based security firm Sansec, which regularly searches for signs of Magecart-style attacks, according to the report. Such attacks typically involve attackers sneaking attack code onto sites that accept payment cards.
