  • Target to open CityTarget format at Beverly Connection in Los Angeles

    Minneapolis -- Target said it will open its new smaller format concept, CityTarget, at the Beverly Connection in Los Angeles, in March 2013. The 99,000-sq.-ft. will be located on the second floor of the shopping complex, at the corner of La Cienega and Beverly Boulevard.

  • Bed Bath & Beyond to open at Village South at Waugh Chapel

    Washington, D.C. -- Sax Realty said that Bed Bath & Beyond will open a new 28,000-sq.-ft. store at Village South at Waugh Chapel, the largest power strip being built in the Washington, D.C., area.

    The store is slated to open in the fall.

    The one million-sq.-ft. mixed-use development, developed by Greenberg Gibbons, is also anchored by Wegman's, Target, Regal Cinema, Dick's Sporting Goods and Petco.

  • Inland Real Estate Group names COO

    Oak Brook, Ill. -- The Inland Real Estate Group of Cos. announced the appointment of Timothy D. Hutchison as COO of The Inland Real Estate Group.

    In this position, Hutchison will be responsible for all non-investment operations of the company. Additionally, he will retain his duties as head of The Inland Services Group, leading the shared service entities.

    Hutchison joined Inland in 2005 after having spent 14 years in operations and management roles in municipal government.

  • Westfield introduces style lounge and personal stylists on demand

    Los Angeles -- Westfield announced that its Westfield Style fashion program is launching personal styling services on demand at select Westfield centers in May. 

    The focal point of the new offering is the Westfield Style Lounge, a dedicated space in the mall where professional stylists will provide free personalized style consultations for shoppers. Additionally, shoppers can get advice on demand right from their mobile phone via the new Ask A Stylist service. Shoppers e-mail a photo of their look to the on-call stylist for an instant response.

  • CBL and Horizon Group break ground on The Outlet Shoppes at Atlanta

    Chattanooga, Tenn. -- CBL & Associates Properties and Horizon Group Properties announced that construction will begin immediately on a new outlet center in Woodstock, Ga. The 370,600-sq.-ft. initial phase of the center, to be named The Outlet Shoppes at Atlanta, is scheduled to open in August 2013.

  • Cullinan Properties names new team members

    Peoria, Ill. -- Christopher M. West, COO and partner of Cullinan Properties, announced several additions to the Cullinan team.

    Shawn Luesse has been hired as project manager for the Streets of St. Charles mixed-use development in metro St. Louis. Luesse was previously director of development for the G & T Group, based in Champaign, Ill.

    Seth Marks has joined the team as leasing representative, assisting with the retail, restaurant and entertainment leasing for The Streets of St. Charles and the Quincy Mall in Quincy, Ill.

  • Two additional tenants join Cobblestone Plaza

    Pembroke Pines, Fla. -- Indianapolis-based Kite Realty Group announces that two additional tenants have joined Cobblestone Plaza, located in Pembroke Pines, Fla.

    Great Clips will open a 1,066-sq.-ft. store and Michael’s Jewelry will open in a 1,400-sq.-ft. space.

    The 140,452-sq.-ft. Cobblestone Plaza is newly anchored by Whole Foods, which opened March 28, joining All Pets Emporium and Party City. 

  • Joe's Crab Shack to open at Hunt Valley Towne Centre

    Bethesda, Md. -- Sax Realty said that Joe’s Crab Shack will open in the Hunt Valley Towne Centre, north of Interstate 695, in Bethesda, Md.

    The center is anchored by Wegman's, Burlington Coat Factory, Dick's Sporting Goods, Best Buy, DSW and Regal Theatres. This will be the fourth new Joe's to open in Maryland, joining restaurants in Greenbelt, Bel Air and Arundel Mills which opens summer 2012.
