  • The Counter to open at Plaza Hermosa

    Hermosa Beach, Calif. -- Jacksonville, Fla.-based Regency Centers said it has leased restaurant space in Hermosa Beach, Calif., at Plaza Hermosa shopping center to The Counter. 

    The burger restaurant has leased 2,837 sq. ft. and is slated to open for business in July.

    The 94,939-sq.-ft. shopping center is anchored by Vons, alongside national retailers such as CVS/pharmacy, Aaron Brothers, Jamba Juice and The UPS Store.

  • Arirang Japanese Bistro to open at Sycamore Plaza

    Cincinnati -- Jacksonville, Fla.-based Regency Centers said it has leased restaurant space to Arirang Japanese Bistro at Sycamore Plaza in Cincinnati.

    The Japanese Hibachi steak house and sushi restaurant leased 7,600 sq. ft. and is slated to open in the fall. The dining establishment is taking the space formerly occupied by Max & Erma’s restaurant. 

  • Aldi opens at Crystal Town Center

    St. Paul, Minn. -- Paster Enterprises announced that Aldi has opened at Crystal Town Center, in St. Paul, Minn.

    The new grocery store anchor measures 17,929-sq.-ft.
     

  • WS Development, Olympic Realty close on land for new Walmart project

    Millcreek, Pa. -- Chestnut Hill, Mass.-based WS Development and Olympic Realty & Development Corp. announced that they have closed on 42 acres of land in Millcreek, Pa., in conjunction with Walmart.

    The land is the future home of Millcreek Town Center, a 350,000-sq.-ft. open-air shopping center, which will include a new Walmart and approximately 160,000 sq. ft. of additional retail and restaurant space.

  • Stardust Arcade opens at Boynton Beach Mall

    Boynton Beach, Fla. -- Indianapolis-based Simon Property Group announced that Stardust Arcade, an adult penny redemption arcade, has opened at Boynton Beach Mall, in Boynton Beach, Fla.

    The 10,000-sq.-ft. space features 150 machines within a Las Vegas-style setting showcasing faux Roman columns, marble details and hand-painted Greek themed murals created by Florida Atlantic University’s Arts Professor Jim Crane and his fine art students.

  • Dos Lagos re-launches brand

    Corona, Calif. -- The Promenade Shops at Dos Lagos, in Corona, Calif., announced it has changed its name to The Shops at Dos Lagos. This change kicks off the branding re-launch and includes a new logo design, website design, URL address to ShopDosLagos.com, and signage.

  • NAI Global names NYC exec

    Princeton, N.J. -- NAI Global said that Jay B. Olshonsky has joined the NAI Global New York City team as executive VP and COO.
     
    Olshonsky previously was COO at NAI Friedland Realty, NAI Global’s Westchester County affiliate. He joined the NAI network in 2010 after 15 years with CB Richard Ellis, where he served as managing director in charge of its Washington, D.C., brokerage operations.

  • Family Dollar names real estate VP

    Matthews, N.C. -- Family Dollar Stores announced Monday that it has named Brad Rogers to the position of VP real estate development.

    Rogers will report to Keith Gehl, senior VP real estate and facilities.

    Rogers began his career at Family Dollar in 1998 as real estate manager. Since joining the company, he has held additional roles in the real estate division, most recently serving as regional VP of the real estate portfolio and new stores.
