  • Stride Rite opens Milestone store in Ohio

    Lexington, Mass. - Stride Rite Children's Group has opened its latest “Milestone” concept store at Easton Town Center in Columbus, Ohio. The Milestone concept includes features such as shelves at varying heights so children can easily see all of the styles available, a dedicated “Fit Station” where children can get their feet measured and find out how tall they are by standing against the Fit Totem Pole, rainbow carpeting and a more open floor plan.

  • Cycle Gear opens second store in Chicago area

    Benicia, Calif. -- Cycle Gear Inc. opened its second Illinois store in Tinley Park, a suburb just south of Chicago.

    The motorcycle apparel and accessories chain operates about 100 stores nationwide.

     

  • New North Carolina Sam’s Club celebrates grand opening

    Easley, N.C. -- The new 138,000-sq.-ft. Sam’s Club in Easley Town Center Easley, N.C., celebrated its grand opening on June 27. Mayor Bagwell and Chamber of Commerce president Cindy Hopkins attended.

    As part of the continuing celebration, University of South Carolina running back George Rogers will sign autographs on June 29.

     

  • Madewell inks center city Philadelphia lease

    Philadelphia -- Madewell, a J. Crew concept, has signed its first lease in Center City Philadelphia, according to broker Fameco Real Estate. The 4,000 sq.-ft. store will be located near Rittenhouse Square. Neighboring retailers include Intermixx, Burberry, Athleta and Blue Mercury. Fameco and Open Realty Advisors both represented Madewell in the transaction.

    Both brokers are also representing searching for a 2,500-sq.-ft. location for J. Crew Men on Walnut Street in Philadelphia.

     

  • Shake Shack opens in D.C.’s Historic Row

    Washington, D.C. -- Shake Shack has opened a new restaurant in Washington, D.C.’s Historic Row in The International Spy Museum, which is owned by Douglas Development Corp.

    The 3,200 sq. ft. Shake Shack is the chain’s third Washington, D.C., restaurant.

     

  • Lumber Liquidators opens 300th store

    Toano Va. – Lumber Liquidators has opened its 300th store. The store, located in Las Vegas, is the company’s third in Nevada and second in Las Vegas. It also features the retailer’s new “store of the future” format that offers an expanded store showroom of approximately 1,600 sq. ft., including a broader assortment of flooring options, moldings and accessories.

  • The Terraces acquired by joint venture

    Washington, D.C. -- Combined Properties and its joint venture partner Saban Capital Group have acquired The Terraces, a 173,000-sq.-ft. community shopping center in Rancho Palos Verdes, a suburb of Los Angeles. Spread across three terraced levels, center retailers include Trader Joe’s, Marshalls, LA Fitness and Starlight Cinemas.

    The joint venture between Combined Properties and Saban Capital Group is assembling a $200 million portfolio of value-add retail centers in Southern California and the Washington, D.C., metro market.

     

  • Rosenfeld Realty Advisors to handle office and retail

    Boca Raton, Fla. -- Orin Rosenfeld has founded Rosenfeld Realty Advisors.

    As president of the new firm, Rosenfeld will draw on 18 years of commercial real estate experience with CBRE and NAI Merin Hunter Codman. The company will specialize in office and retail real estate and will represent both landlords and tenants across South Florida.
