One of the most sought-after entertainment options by retail developers continues its eastward expansion with an opening in the nation’s capital.
Tee times will be available beginning this week at the new Topgolf National Harbor in Washington. The three-level, 65,000-sq.-ft. venue becomes the company’s 55th location worldwide.
National Harbor draws a constant flow of new consumer traffic as the home of the Gaylord Convention Center and several other large hotels accommodating conventioneers.
"This exciting new venue allows us to continue connecting with the local community while showcasing some of Topgolf's innovations, including Toptracer, which is the same technology seen on TV that tracks the flight path of the golf ball," said Topgolf COO Craig Kessler.
More than 500 full- and part-time associates have been hired in advance of the opening of the new Topgolf, which is located at 6400 Clipper Way in Oxon Hill, Md.
